Jhumpa Lahiri appointed to Obama’s arts committee

It is heartening to know that Jhumpa Lahiri has been chosen by Obama for the arts committee. If there was a worthy Indian, then it is her with her endearing subtle Indian identity. I have read both of Jhumpa’s earlier books, and enjoyed them both, and the film based on The Namesake….
